Economical front office renovation makes for more efficient traffic flow

By Lindsay Newfeld

Office1Tempe Prep is currently undergoing a time of many changes, but a number of these changes are decided behind the scenes by the Board of Directors and are not always immediately visible to members of our community. However, Tempe Prep’s front office has recently undergone a renovation, which has been positively received by students, parents, and faculty alike.

This renovation was originally proposed by Dr. Porter, who wanted “to rearrange the back office to make room for moving Mrs. Ashton’s desk back there. This would allow us to make a more roomy entry that would be more welcoming to everyone who comes to TPA.”

Now ideas are always free but the execution of those ideas almost never is. Thankfully, Mr. and Mrs. Ashton made this vision a reality on a shoestring budget of less than $80. So, as Dr. Porter says, “we have the Ashtons to thank for such an open, inviting front office with enough room to accommodate more than just a couple of people at a time.”

So far everyone who has come to see the new front office has had very positive reactions to the change. While the front office is just a small part of our school, it is one of the first places new visitors see and these renovations are bound to make a good impression on anyone visiting TPA.

From Dr. Porter, “We hope everyone enjoys the new front office for years to come!”
