How are the 7th graders celebrating the end of the 2018 school year? A Spring Fling!

TPA held its first annual 7th grade Hawaiian Spring Fling on Friday April 27 in the Zelman Center. There were various activities such as corn hole, yard jenga, beach ball volleyball, and of course, music and dancing. The parent organization put together this event with the help of many high schoolers. They served pizza, chips, cookies, and Italian sodas.

Fling005 Fling002The event was a big hit and everybody had a blast! “My favorite things about the spring fling were playing beach ball volleyball with my friends and dancing with them too,” Catherine Ross said. “I enjoyed it very much. I would like to recognize and thank Mrs. Sayer and the other volunteers for organizing this for us.”

Apache Khan said, “I enjoyed the fact that we all had gotten together and spent actual quality time, settling the drama aside. I loved the photo booth! It was so cool! The vibes were super relaxing while the music made everything more fun.”

The parents had fun too! The wonderful parents involved in organizing this event are Jennifer Sayer, Kathleen Clark, Mark Ross, Vicki Montei and Lara Kristoff.

“We felt it’s important for the Class of 2023 to socialize and build relationships with their classmates and make memories in a safe, fun event outside of their everyday studies. The spring fling was a great theme to build an event around. Stay tuned for more events in the future!” Jennifer Sayer said.

At this Hawaiian themed party, many 7th graders dressed up in Hawaiian shirts, leis, and sunglasses to take part in the photo booth with many beach props. In the Zelman Center, there was also a disco-lit area for people to dance with their friends! These events are an amazing way to support TPA and have a good time with your friends and classmates. This Spring Fling created many memories and a night to remember.

All in all, the spring fling was an exotic and amazing experience. It was an exceptional way for all your friends to come together and have fun, but also to have a break from school and spend quality time with your classmates. The Spring Fling gave us the time of our lives we will surely not forget anytime soon. We hope all the 7th graders to come will have a great experience such as this, to give them the same, fun way to truly connect with their friends.
