Middle School swimmers love the challenge and rewards

I see many cool things in Middle School swim. They are practicing strokes. And also a really fun game! After several years of swimming Coach Hill is now at Tempe Prep teaching Middle Schoolers “how to swim.”

Coach Hill says, “It’s a rewarding moment. I have been swimming for 16 years and I got the best swim team.”

MS Swim 03I’m interviewing Emma Huston and asked her. “How are you feeling since you’re in swim?” She replied, “Hmm… It’s really fun when you’re in swim. And also, if you’re planning on going to swim, join now!”

And now I’m interviewing Natalee Green. I asked her, “What do you like about swim?” She said, “ It’s kinda challenging and you get used to it! We do four different strokes, butterfly, breaststroke, freestyle, and backstroke. It’s kinda easy.”

Now on with the other Coach, Coach Fish! “It’s been interesting. It’s kinda fun when I or when others forget, but we can relearn. That’s a rewarding moment.”

Maeve Wadell is a sixth grader who just started swim. She said, “ It’s tiring and it’s fun.”

Jenn Stephens is the head varsity coach and assistant Middle School coach. My question for her was, “How do you feel about teaching Middle School swimming and what is your goal?” She said, “I love it, It’s a privilege. And our main goal is to achieve each time we race, to become competitors.”

Naomi Palmer is going on her third year in Middle School swim. She says, ”It’s a fun sport, but it’s a difficult sport because you are using your every muscle to pull yourself in the water. Swimming is a great sport for team bonding and to share your energy and more!”
