Boys basketball team improving quickly as hard work overcomes inexperience

The TPA boys basketball team has undergone a lot of changes this year, but has shown phenomenal improvement throughout the season. This year, only four players are returning with nine new players. It has taken some getting used to the new player dynamic on and off the court. Despite these setbacks, the boys and Coach Waddell have high hopes for this season.

The team is currently 2-5, with two wins against ASU Prep and Cicero Prep. Coach Waddell says, “The team is great! The players are getting along well. We have outstanding senior leadership from Miguel Guzman and Caleb Brittain. Noah Teters and Darrell Bailey, our other returning players, also help with leadership.”

Although the team may not have gotten the start they wanted this season, they have met every game with outstanding determination regardless of the outcome. Over winter break they have several games and will be working tirelessly for the start of the new year. Go Knights!’
