Knight golfers gain experience under leadership of senior Alex Wait

At this point in the golf season, the players with potential to go to state are pretty obvious. A majority of Tempe Prep’s golfers fall under this category, which is something to be proud of.

Five out of the top ten golf teams nationally come from Arizona, giving our state a prestigious reputation in golf. This doesn’t slow Alex down, as he is now one of the highest ranking Division III golfers in the state.

With a little less than half a season to go, he doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Says Jordan Ehmann, his teammate, “He knows the game better than most of the players he plays against. We are very lucky to have him as a player and as a coach.”

At the very least, it can be said that he has potential to do serious damage at state. He may be the best to ever play Tempe Prep golf, and still has half a season to go.
