Tempe Prep’s newest club, Film Club!

By: Franklin Campbell

Ready, set, action! Tempe Prep is proud to announce their newest club, Film Club! Film Club provides fun after school events where students can learn about the many things that go into making and producing movies.

Have you ever wanted to learn how films are made or dive deeper into the art of storytelling on screen?  Learn about what is behind the scenes of your favorite movies? Or, have a fun relaxing place to watch and discuss movies with your friends? Well, you’re in luck, because this year Tempe Prep has the Film Club!

Film Club was established by tenth graders Heath Churchill and James Kirk, who both wanted to have a club where you can learn more about movies. Heath and James’s mission for Film Club, they say, is “to study how movies are made and learn more about cinematography.”

Come to Film Club with your friends to learn about and enjoy movies. Learning how movies are made can boost your creativity and increase your appreciation for your favorite films. And if you want to have a future career in the film industry, then this is the place for you.

Film Club takes place on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:00 after school in room 206, and it is for ALL grades.

   And that’s a wrap!
