Expand your money-handling knowledge by joining Investment Club

Have you asked yourself why you never learn about the stock market, investing, and other finance techniques in school? Then Investment Club is something you should really invest in! Investment Club was a club founded years ago by TPA alums, but has recently made a reappearance in the TPA community. Connor Clark, the main founder of the new Investment Club, decided to create it with an aim of “learning about the stock market and investing fundamentals,” he explains.

The required teacher sponsor for Investment Club is Dr. Evans, a high school Humane Letter teacher. Dr. Evans also had the privilege to oversee the original Investment Club, and has helped the club become much more successful and advanced.

One super cool feature of Investment Club is that the participating students get to play “The Stock Market Game” where groups of students are given a theoretical $100,000 and tasked to invest. Connor explains, “This provides a place for us to engage in hands-on learning without putting actual money on the line.”

So, if you are interested in participating in Investment Club, you first need to be a high school student. Then you have the opportunity to get involved next year. This school year is already half way through, so the club is taking things with current members fast, but be sure to get involved with Investment Club next year to learn how to handle your money.
