Women’s soccer team makes big improvements from last season

Tempe Prep’s women’s varsity soccer team is back with new strength and potential! After only losing one player from last year and, to basketball’s incredible horror, gaining eight new players for this year (five of whom are seniors), the Lady Knights are ready to seriously step up their game.

The team is much more experienced this year and we have a lot of new players who are very talented.”

This improvement is shown clearly when comparing their performance last year to this year. Rachel explains, “We have tied our first two games, and we lost our third by one goal scored in the last 3 minutes of the game. Last year these same teams were beating us 0-6. There is a lot of potential for our girls. The girls are dedicated and I am excited to see what we can do.”

Coach Sale also has a bright outlook for the season saying, “We have yet to record a win but they are fighting very hard and they never quit or give up.  They want very much to make the playoffs but it will be an uphill battle because we play in a very tough section.”

Let’s Go Lady Knights!
