TPA’s Cantamus performs last concert of the school year

On April 27, Cantamus held its last official concert of the school year. The school’s choir sang a variety of songs from “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” to “Ave Verum Corpus.” Soloists Maeve Jastrzebski and Clark Campbell also sang “Heroes and Dreamers.”

The audience heard some of the songs that TPA recorded in the Disney Workshop. During its Disneyland trip, the choir went into a recording studio, where they were given music to learn and record. They were, however, unable to distribute the recordings, which made their final concert a perfect opportunity to share. The songs included “At Last I See The Light” from “Tangled,” the opening of “The Muppets Movie” and “Blue Umbrella.”

The members also took time to reflect and celebrate their successful year. Freshman Minh Thu Nguyen said, “I think everyone has done an amazing job this year and we all tried really hard. For a choir with more than half the people (including me) being newcomers, the things we have accomplished have been amazing.”

Junior Hannah Frazier said, “Cantamus this year has been one of my favorite things about school. Mrs. Stewart has been so great with being there for us in every way and helping us become the best version of ourselves.”
