This year, Peyton hopes to “grow as a better teammate” and “help (her) teammates get better with every practice or game.”. As previous and new players join, the TPA middle school girls volleyball  team continues to grow. The A and B team’s first game is on Sept. 10 against Veritas Prep.

Middle school golf is up and running as it welcomes new and experienced players. Eighth-grader Health Churchill has been playing golf for around seven years and  is excited for the new season andthe hard work it will bring. “My goals are to get a more consistent swing and control my swing,” he says, “I’m looking forward to  start playing more games and improving.” The grass is green, the players are ready and the golf season is in full swing..

Flag Football

This season, middle school flag football is also kicking-off.. In addition to exercise , players learn teamwork, leadership and goal-setting. “My goals are to help our team and throw some good passes to the wide receivers,” says eighth- grader Cooper Furiga. He has been playing football for about three and a half years and is looking forward to being quarterback this season. Although middle school flag football is a new addition to sports at Tempe Prep,  it is already receiving  enthusiasm.  The team’s first game is on Sept. 10 against Maryvale Prep at the Chandler Prep field.
